Below you will find important information concerning our Lower School REACH program.
* Academic support for students in Senior Kindergarten - 5th grade.
*The program is structured to provide intervention, remediation, and support for struggling students.
* Learning specialists work with students, faculty, parents, and administrators to identify and address individual student needs.
* A pullout program that focuses on reading and math.
*Instruction received in REACH during strategic times during the school day to insure they do not miss classroom instruction, recess, or specialty classes.
*Specific times are scheduled during the school day for students in each grade level to receive support in REACH.
*Learning specialists help the children with assignments or provide alternative instruction and practice to help
children acquire skills.
*Parents are kept informed of student progress with weekly reports, and are encouraged to actively promote student success through additional study and practice at home.
Requirements/ Admission into the REACH Program
*A student must meet Harding’s regular requirements for admission.
*Students may submit an updated psycho-educational evaluation from a certified professional. This evaluation should state the disability, give scores on administered tests, and be dated within the last three years.
*Teacher recommendations for admission into the REACH program will be considered in lieu of a formal diagnosis.
*Fee is pro-rated in accordance with the date of admittance to the REACH program. This fee may be divided into monthly installments and added to your monthly tuition bill. We will be happy to calculate the monthly fee for your consideration.
